Fin Robotics is built around Fin, a tiny thumb ring that turns your palm into a numeric keypad and gesture interface. The Bluetooth-enabled device lets you connect and control different digital gadgets like smartphones, smart TVs and even automobiles. Founder Rohil N started working on the idea when he was in college and set up the company in 2012. Today, he and his team have found collaborators from around the world to develop applications for this versatile product.

What makes our ring unique is obviously the technology that has gone into it. It’s a combination of extreme hardware and extreme software that looks 20 years into the future.

Your first meeting
I remember how excited we were to present our idea to Kalaari for the first time. They patiently heard us out, our vision for our company, and then gave us some very constructive feedback.
They were very straightforward about everything, including their interest and reasons behind funding us. Of course we were happy – after all, a reputed venture capital firm from India was showing tremendous interest in what could have been a huge risk with an early-stage startup like ours.
